Peach 

Peach is my forever island. I started it on release day, March 20th 2020, and have never reset it (and never will!). Across the 3,000 hours I've poured into this island, I've tried a number of different themes - at first I wanted a forest island, and then I got inspired to make a So-Cal boardwalk theme. But then the great era of the "cores" came to animal crossing, and we were introduced to cottagecore, farmcore, and my beloved fairycore. My heart has been settled on fairycore since mid-2020, and I've never deviated from that concept. 

Peach is a lush, colorful island with magical little builds and elaborate terraforming, befitting of a fairycore themed island. But this island means so much more to me than just cute decor or themes - it's really been my home. I've hosted SO many events on this island; countless games of hide-and-seek, birthday parties, even my college graduation (which tbh was WAY more fun than walking irl). It's also how I got started on my path of content creation; my first-ever Twitch stream was of me building a sunken waterfall (now demolished lmao) and a number of my Youtube videos have featured Peach. 

And in true Sophie fashion, this island would be incomplete without an absurd amount of lore behind it - and BOY have I got some lore for you. 

The most important piece of lore that you need to know: Flurry is our resident serial killer. You may be thinking, sweet little hamster Flurry? How could she possibly be a killer? But that's what she WANTS you to think. Believe me, behind those chubby little cheese and adorable round body is a stone-cold killer that could even put Dexter to shame. When she's not busy making hit lists, she's going on dates with her boyfriend Dom (who is blissfully unaware of her true nature). For a while, Sasha lived on the island and was her hit-man. Now, he has been replaced by Ursala, an evil more powerful hit-man that works for her (or does she...?)
Flurry has long gone unopposed on the island, as any who dare stand in her path end up... well, in her garden. But one brave soul has taken up the torch against Flurry's tyranny: Melba. Sweet Melba originally moved to the island to take care of her elderly grandfather Gonzo, but when she learned of Flurry's true nature she made it her life's mission to bring her to justice. And this has not occurred without great sacrifice - Melba's first girlfriend, Diana, ended up double-crossing her and worked for Flurry. Painful as it was, she broke up with Diana, who soon left the island. She is truly committed to fighting against Flurry and her vicious allies. They have, at present, formed a tentative truce, but you never know when chaos will strike again...

Besides that whole mess, the island is pretty chill. Freckles is our local kawaii gamer girl slash cottagecore bisexual. She has built up a relationship with Melba, who was finally ready to move on after her betrayal from Diana. Freckles's longtime bestie on the island was Julian, but now that he has moved away, her new bestie is Zucker. Zucker is of course married to Marina, making them the token married couple of the island. They've left Peach in the past, lived on other islands, and are now back on the isalnd to stay. We also have Marshal, the poor romantic who has been dumped too many times to count by previous residents like Judy and Ione, and had several almost-relationships like his momentary flirtation with Wolfgang. He is still single... perhaps he will be forever. Gonzo is our silly grandpa of the island who is often seen wandering around in nothing but a towel. Our newest resident is Raymond, who once lived on Peach years ago and has finally come back to stay again. 

As far as the human residents go, we have Sophie (aka meee!) who is the resident representative. I feel like my in-game me is me but also,,, not me? Like, they don't look like me - they've got little pink hair buns and that is DEFINITELY not how I look. I tend to think of Peachie (as I often lovingly refer to my in-game-me) as sort of like the child version of Sophie, or perhaps how the child version Sophie would imagine the older me being? Idk. They're me, but not me. I also often refer to my in-game character as "she" even though I don't use she/her pronouns IRL
Our other human resident is Gwen, who was originally the resident representative of my side island Maple Glen. She ended up opening up a chain of Bed and Breakfasts, including the one she runs on Peach!
